|Allotments||The allotments in the village, beside the village hall in Fordham Road, are owned by a charity.

|Annual Parish Meeting||The Parish's Annual Meeting is held during April or May each year. Details are posted on the notice boards and in the Spring Parish Pump.|
The bus service 357 between Mildenhall and Bury St Edmunds runs twice a day, stopping in Freckenham.
The route between Mildenhall and Bury St Edmunds stops at Worlington, Freckenham, Red Lodge, Herringswell, Tuddenham, Cavenham and Risby.

|Dentists||There is a dental practice in Red Lodge and a number of practices in Mildenhall.|
|Defibrillator||An external Defibrillator is available in the brick bus shelter in The Street. In an emergency dial 999 ask for Ambulance service and they will give the caller the code to open the cabinet housing the defibrillator. Someone should stay with the casualty and another run to collect the defibrillator from the cabinet using the code given. On return to the casualty open the case and follow the instructions. A paramedic and/or ambulance will have been alerted.|

|Doctors||There are two surgeries in Mildenhall being the Whitehouse Surgery (01638 718177) and The Market Cross Surgery (01638 713109). The Whitehouse practice also has a surgery in Red Lodge - Reynard Surgery (01638 552211).|

You can then enter an address and a range of useful information will appear about Planning, Waste and Recycling, Health, Highways, Education and Democracy; all relevant to that locality.|
A mobile library calls at the Golden Boar every four weeks on a Wednesday between 4.25 - 4.40 p.m.

|Newsletter||The Parish Council publishes a newsletter — Parish Pump — three times a year and this is delivered to every household in the parish. The newsletter is free. Limited advertising can be accepted. See attached for advertising rates. All enquires to the Chairman of the Council.|

|Parish Council||The Parish Council is made up of five members with scheduled meetings every other month (May, July, September, November, January and March). Policing in the village is undertaken by the Mildenhall SNT (Safer Neighbourhood Team).

|Recreation Area||The Parish Council has a recreation field with access off Chippenham Road and a pedestrian access beside the Lee Brook off The Street. Considerable improvement work was finalised in September 2015 with the addition of further children play equipment and some adult fitness equipment and an all-weather circular path. The bins are emptied by West Suffolk Council every Thursday alternating between the blue and black bins weekly.
Collection of garden waste in the brown bins is no longer a statutory service, but the service can be provided for an annual charge.

|Street Lighting||The majority of the street lights are owned by the Parish Council (excluding those in Shores Close and some in East View). If any light is not working, or remains on during the day, please report the this on the Suffolk County Council website reporting tool.|
