A place for the under 5s and their carers with play, craft, snacks, stories and songs. Also open to members of the community who just want to come along for a cuppa and chat. All welcome.

Yoga For Relaxation

Zoom classes are being offered. Check with Suzy for full details.

 6.15 to 7.15 pm. £6.00 per session.

All you need is a nonslip mat, comfortable clothes, a yoga belt, or tie and any extra layers to keep warm during relaxation.

Although it is a drop in class, and there is no course fee, prebooking and payment in advance is recommended as places are limited. Payment via PayPal or cheque monthly in advance is ideal (£6.00/class) and guarantees a place.  Otherwise pay-as-you-go on the night is possible on a first come basis until the class is full (please feel free to check if you want to join).

If you are interested in the breathing practices, with a few stretches and relaxation I will also hold a half hour zoom session on Thursday afternoons (3.30-4.00) while we are going through this challenging time.  These will be £10.00 a month, first week free.  Please call me on the above number so that I can send you an invitation.

Chrissie is a ‘Yoga Elder’ (5000+ Teaching Experience) She is dedicated to teaching Yoga from a therapeutic perspective and takes time to get to know her students’ physical, mental and health issues so that each one benefits individually from his/her practice. Chrissie realises the importance of joy and friendship in our lives — her classes are fun and sociable whilst ensuring that all aspects of yoga are included in each practice. She also hosts a Meditation Practice on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 9.00 — 09.45.

Strictly comes to Freckenham! If you haven't tried FitSteps before, it's a Dance Fitness class with a difference, where the focus is on learning the routines as well as physical exercise. We are Waltzing through the Cha Cha, the Jive, the Charleston along with some Rumba, Tango and American Smooth, all choreographed to both traditional and contemporary music. You don't need previous dance experience or a partner to join in with this 'Strictly' energising workout. So why not give it a try? This class is suited to all age groups and abilities, including those who are returning to or trying a class for the first time.

There will be 2 classes as before:-

9.30-10.30am for intermediate/mixed ability 

10.45-11.45am for beginners/more gentle exercise

As an experienced Chartered Physiotherapist Rosie is happy to give advice about musculoskeletal aches and pains, managing chronic long term conditions, and will provide an individual program of exercises and stretches if necessary.

Pilates is a wonderful form of exercise, at all levels of ability, for maintaining and improving balance, posture, strength and flexibility.

Classes are kept to a maximum of 12 participants and Rosie provides mats and all equipment. £8.00 a class.

Designed for the less mobile and open to men and women of all ages.  All exercises are designed on or around a chair with the help of some extras to add a little interest! With the addition of music, lots of chatter and laughter, this class is bound to be great fun!

Delivered by a qualified Instructor, these fun-filled and low-impact exercise to music classes aim to get people moving whilst improving strength, balance and flexibility. Suitable for everyone in particular the 40+ and no experience required!
